PURPOSE:
The Product Readiness & Rework Coordinator – Ramp-Up Support is responsible to support the ramp-up of a new production program. The role involves managing a controlled group of pre-release product units that require technical validation or rework prior to customer delivery. The position is critical to ensure readiness, flow, and traceability throughout the temporary holding and correction process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize and monitor the movement and storage of product units awaiting final release
- Coordinate technical rework and corrective actions with internal departments and external partners
- Track status of open issues, schedule interventions, and document resolution progress
- Maintain clear, structured communication with stakeholders in production, quality, and logistics
- Support planning and prioritization for releasing units based on operational and technical readiness
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent field
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong organizational and coordination skills in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in operational planning, inventory control, or production support
- Ability to manage technical documentation and communicate across functional teams
- Problem-solving mindset and a hands-on approach to issue resolution
- Proficient in using tracking tools, spreadsheets, or ticket-based systems
- On-site presence in Charleston, SC required
- Strong Aerospace or Automotive experience is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
- Location: Charleston, SC
- Schedule: Day shift, 40h/w
- Duration: 6 months
- Assignment Start: September 2025
- Contract Type: Full-time, on-site
