Quality Technician
PURPOSE:
Serves as front desk liaison between the assembly department and the series parts quality team to resolve daily issues. In addition, the QSB works in conjunction with the QSP (Quality Specialist Product) to be a liaison between suppliers and various departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures robust containment for all supplier non-conforming material found by internal sensors such as QZ Audit, Water Test, QI, Road Test, and Section Audit.
- Adheres to timely disposition of material from RED tables within agreed limits for supplier related non-conforming material.
- Manages QA creation / approval and closure for all supplier non-conforming material issues in SAP.
- Raises complaint reports to include allocation of appropriate PPM / Costs / 8D’s.
- Provides front desk support for all deviation / line trial activity.
- Manages LV for all RK 0 – IDF/QMD.
- Supports QSP LV for all RK1 / RK2 PQM issues with containment information.
- Ensures inventory control of responsible locations.
- Supports Schale 2 Working Structure (Zone/Band Support).
- Conducts training to production employees based on company standards.
- Monitors PCSQ (Production data / dashboard) and supports the handshake process to include the One Line Parts List allocation.
- Ensures utilization of internal support functions to aid with Level 0 analysis, such as Metrology, Laboratory and Total Vehicle Analysis (CAMS).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate of Science degree in engineering or related field or two (2) years’ professional
experience in process quality or quality systems.
- Previous manufacturing experience with specific area related (external, internal, power train) parts at supplier (preferred).
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Must have the ability to work independently.
- One (1) years’ experience working knowledge of NCM process and material management.
- One (1) years’ experience and knowledge of plant operations.
- One (1) years’ knowledge of QSP quality processes and responsibilities.
- One (1) years’ experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
- One (1) years’ communication skill including interpersonal, presentation, and written influencing and negotiation skills.
- One (1) years’ experience of proven problem-solving skills and abilities.
- One (1) years’ experience of resource planning.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
- Location: Greer, SC
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift
- Assignment Start: ASAP.
