This is a long-term Contractor role based in Spartanburg, SC that requires onsite presence. PURPOSE:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs architecture for Microsoft-based technology stacks, concentrating on the configurations of IIS within different usage scenarios.
- Manages product and maintenance for Microsoft IIS Service and other Microsoft middleware components (e.g., BizTalk) worldwide.
- Develops the client’s Microsoft technology stack landscape and provides 3rd level support for IIS services worldwide.
- Leads enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 architecture, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID/Azure AD, and Power Platform.
- Provides direct, hands-on leadership for Microsoft 365 Copilot integration, configuration, governance, licensing, readiness assessments, rollout strategies, and enterprise user enablement.
- Conducts strategic positioning, license planning, and vendor/provider management.
- Ensures enterprise-level security and compliance in M365 environments, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Microsoft Purview, Defender for O365, Conditional Access, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
- Drives automation and workflow optimization across M365 workloads using PowerShell, Power Platform, and Microsoft Graph API.
- Leads migration projects (tenant-to-tenant, on-prem to cloud, Google Workspace to M365, etc.) and change management strategies for complex environments.
- Designs large-scale distributed web applications/systems with high availability, scalability, and extensibility.
- Architects serverless web applications for Cloud, Kubernetes, Micro Services, and containerization.
- Designs globally used PKI security solutions and web security solutions, including cipher standardization and certificate lifecycle management.
- Engages with business and technical stakeholders, leading workshops, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Conducts ramp-up and handover of fixes and new solutions to operations with all relevant documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned by operations supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent (or 4 years related IT experience).
- 7+ years of application and solutions development experience with Microsoft .NET and ASP.
- 7+ years enterprise architecture and operations experience.
- 5+ years of experience designing Microsoft IIS and other Microsoft middleware architectures (MS SQL, Windows Server, BizTalk, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience with business-critical IT systems, global IT architectures, projects, and services.
- Recent, direct enterprise-level experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot (integration, governance, user enablement, rollout, and licensing).
- Proven expertise in architecting and managing enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID/Azure AD, and Power Platform).
- Strong background in M365 security and compliance frameworks (DLP, Microsoft Purview, Defender for O365, Conditional Access, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
- Experience in automation and integration using PowerShell, Power Platform, and Microsoft Graph API.
- Hands-on leadership in migration projects (tenant-to-tenant, hybrid to cloud, Google Workspace to M365, etc.).
- Demonstrated success in governance model development, end-user training, and adoption programs for M365 and Copilot.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 3+ years of knowledge of non-functional requirements.
- 3+ years of knowledge of Client/Server Architecture.
- 3+ years of knowledge of IT license management.
- 3+ years of knowledge of back-end infrastructure and software.
- 3+ years of knowledge of diagnostic tools.
- 3+ years of knowledge of software deployment methodologies.
- 3+ years of knowledge of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
- 3+ years of knowledge of IT Security and risk assessment.
- 3+ years of relational database analysis, design, and performance tuning.
- 3+ years of Object-Oriented architecture and design skills.
- 3+ years of knowledge of modern operating systems.
- 3+ years of experience designing networked system infrastructure, reducing latency, maximizing throughput, and ensuring high availability.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.

- Location: 90 % Spartanburg, SC, 10% other Locations
- Schedule: Day shift, 40h/w
