PURPOSE:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for assuring, on a continual basis, that an uninterrupted flow of production material is available to support the vehicle production process. It also monitors JIS buffers, expedited material, critical transportation routes, ASN correction/clearing and inventory validations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Track and communicate all expedites to cross-functional teams until fully received.
- JIS Buffer monitoring to ensure minimal impact to production. Escalate and track with local transportation companies.
- Body Shop Coverage Report tracking on hourly basis. Escalation to Supplier and transportation companies as needed.
- Analyze all critical incoming shipments and communicate root cause for delay.
- Investigate inventory and receipt of discrepancies. Correct all advanced shipping notice transmissions if critical.
- Monitor and track Critical Parts List to ensure minimal impact to production.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies through problem solving methodologies with cross-functional teams.
- Create Management Turnover daily on night-shift activities.
- Report out twice daily on PCS meetings as the Lead Supply Chain Representative on the shift.
- Manage/Act/Delegate/Decide for all night-shift topics regarding Supply Chain.
- Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.
- Work safely 100% of the time.
MAIN TASKS:
- Follow thru delivery plans set during the day
- React to changes in delivery plans and escalate as needed
- MRP clearing and keeping on track of Datas
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/Operations Management, Business Administration
Or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience. - Co-Op/ internship and/ or up to 2 years' professional experience in the following area(s): Manufacturing environment in areas such as Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Transportation and/or Material Planning
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
- Working knowledge of SAP or comparative software
- Proven understanding of supply chain, inventory management, transportation & material planning
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Working knowledge of Material Control, Operational Management, Production Inventory Control and/or Purchasing
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
- Location: Vance, AL
- Schedule: Night shift, 4 days a week: Sunday to Wednesday (06:15 pm to 5:15 am) OR Tuesday to Friday (7:15 pm-5:15am)
- Overtime: as needed
- Assignment Start: Start 7/13/2025 or latest 8/4/2025
