PURPOSE:
In a controlled, low-light environment, the operator carefully loads parts into a fixture, initiating the cycle to begin the cleaning process. Once the cycle is complete, each part is thoroughly inspected under fluorescent lighting, allowing for a detailed visual examination to identify any cracks, defects, or imperfections, ensuring that all parts meet the highest quality standards before moving forward in production.

In a controlled, low-light environment, the operator carefully loads parts into a fixture, initiating the cycle to begin the cleaning process. Once the cycle is complete, each part is thoroughly inspected under fluorescent lighting, allowing for a detailed visual examination to identify any cracks, defects, or imperfections, ensuring that all parts meet the highest quality standards before moving forward in production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspects visually – willing and able to pass a certification for Magnetic Particle Testing from the American Society of Non-Destructive Testing, which will be company sponsored.
- Responsible for safe handling of chemicals as well as Storage
- Checks mixing ratios of chemicals.
- Change tank water Weekly as required.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job.
- Must be capable of working alone for extended periods of time while also working well in a team environment.
- Support QA Department with other duties as needed (i.e. Inspection of other parts and components on bench gages or measurement tools in the QA Lab).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Associates degree in machining or engineering field preferred
- ASQ certification preferred
- Previous experience working in quality assurance.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Must Pass a Mandatory Eye Exam
- Must be able to Sit or Stand for 8 hours or more
- Must be able to lift 20lbs at a time.
- Must be able to use a Pallet jack to move product
- Basic Math Skills required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
