We are currently seeking a Mobile Equipment Specialist for a client in the automotive industry, specializing in car manufacturing. This is a long-term Contractor role based in Vance, AL that requires onsite presence. PURPOSE: 
Under general supervision this position is responsible for tracking, governance and agreement of services provided by the IT service providers with respect to but not limited to mobile service provider management, procurement and budgeting, asset and lifecycle management, as well as project management activities. IT manages Mobile Service providers to provide high quality service for lowest cost possible and best coverage across clients’ facilities. IT maintains the IT hardware inventory using clients standard software and coordinates the IT asset evaluation and adoption process for mobile devices.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service Provider Management:
  • Maintain active knowledge of all services and pricing plans offered by service providers.
  • Make modifications to the service plans as required.
  • Monitor costs and work with vendors to identify and realize cost savings.
  • Ensure incidents/problems are resolved in a timely manner by vendor. Conduct periodic operational oversight meetings with the vendor(s).
  • Ensure no overrun of the annual budget without management approval Asset and Lifecycle
Management:
  • Maintain active knowledge of clients standard devices and services, and act as a liaison to other clients sites to inquire about new service.
  • Monitor and facilitate the fulfillment of standard service requests.
  • Facilitate weekly management review of all open requests.
  • Ensure mobile device inventory is documented in inventory system & coordinate replacement of devices as they approach end of life or technology evolves considering cost & time to ensure continuous operation and cost efficiency.
TechBar Service Operation Support:
  • Provide direction to TechBar (Service Desk onsite) to fulfill all functions defined in the Service Level Agreement.
  • Monitor and facilitate the fulfillment of standard service requests.
  • Analyze demand and utilization for improved availability and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor incident management process and ensure timely solution by service providers.
IT Project Support:
  • Support with determining project needs and service options from implementation to decommission of IT assets, including but not limited to asset lifecycle refresh.
  • Ensures proactive budget monitoring and cost reduction measures.
  • Support with monitoring and controlling according to IT organizational requirements, standards, and compliance.
  • Ensure deliverables are met within project date.
Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Establish, monitor & continuously improve service provided by the Service Point on-site by managing Service Level Agreements in order to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while keeping cost reasonable.
  • Review incoming complaints, ensure provision of solution in a timely manner, provide feedback to customers and implement measures to improve the service.
  • Analysis of related data and reporting to the IT Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Engineering/Computer, Information Technology/Management
  • Co-Op/ internship and/ or up to 2 years' professional experience in the following area(s):
IT function or project management, preferably with 1+ yrs experience in customer service environment


REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of basic PC applications such as MS Office & current browsers.
  • Team player with ability to resolve issues both business and technical.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and adjust to changing schedules to meet project requirements and milestones.
  • Demonstrated experience in service provider or personnel management.
  • Technically competent with various software programs, such as iOS, MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Service management and Managing conflict
  • Analytical and Critical thinking skills


PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Strong familiarity with ITIL Foundations / ITIL
  • Bilingual in English and German.
  • Strong business and finance background

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.

FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
  • Location: Vance, AL
  • Schedule: Day shift, 40h/w
  • Assignment Start: October/November 2025
