PURPOSE:
Delivering a turnkey automated auto body paint shop on customer site, the Project Engineer coordinates the activities of the engineering team of a specific project or several projects, as specified in the project organization chart. The Project Engineer reports to the Senior Executive Director on project execution. The Project Engineer's objective is to ensure compliance with the Client's specifications and to ensure that the engineering activities, carried out by the engineering team, are on time and on budget. He/She must communicate with the Client's organization in full harmony with the Engineering Team and the Project Manager or Project Executive

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project management activities:
- Define the engineering team structure and roles for all stakeholders (internal and external).
- Develop a customer communication plan for engineering activities and approvals.
- Organize technical meetings, documenting open items and minutes.
- Analyze contract documents to derive priorities and structure.
- Ensure the engineering team understands contract contents.
- Gather assumptions and deviations from proposals.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to outline deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Track delivery progress and verify engineering timelines; propose recovery actions if needed.
- Facilitate meetings with customers and suppliers to resolve issues and secure acceptance.
- Represent engineering in weekly project team meetings.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports for management and client reviews.
- Review engineering resource plans for holidays and missions, ensuring alignment with project commitments.
Technical Tasks:
- Promote layout sharing within the team.
- Support integration of all technical disciplines in the project.
- Establish and apply a cross-reference matrix for time and responsibilities.
- Assist the team in decision-making when information is lacking, escalating issues as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and customer requirements.
- Highlight deviations affecting safety and compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree BA /BS degree (Engineering, Supply Chain-related preferred)
- Up to 5 years of professional experience
- Paint Shop experience
REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Comprehensive knowledge and application of Quality Procedures are crucial at both individual and company-wide levels.
PREFERED SKILLS:
- Strong project management experience.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
- Location: Sparks, Nevada
- Schedule: Day Shift
- Core Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 h/week
- Assignment Start: May 2025
- Assignment End: End of 2025
