We are currently seeking a Project Manager – Quality Launch Coordination for a client in the automotive industry, specializing in vehicle manufacturing. This is a Contractor role based in Charleston, SC that requires onsite presence. PURPOSE: 
The Project Manager is responsible to support the launch of a new product program by coordinating all quality-related activities leading up to SOP (Start of Production). The role requires cross-functional alignment with engineering, logistics, and production teams, as well as active milestone and risk management

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate launch readiness for quality topics across departments
  • Track part maturity, validation progress, and SOP deliverables
  • Manage logistics, packaging, and production readiness reviews
  • Prepare and lead release milestone meetings
  • Escalate risks and drive resolution in a fast-paced launch environment

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or industrial Engineer
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Strong understanding of product launches, part validation, and cross-functional processes
  • Experience coordinating with international teams is a plus
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • German language skills are a plus, but not required
  • Must be available for on-site work in Charleston, SC

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.

FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
  • Location: Charleston, SC
  • Schedule: Day shift, 40h/w
  • Duration: 12 months
  • Assignment Start: ASAP
  • Contract Type: Full-time, on-site
