The position is responsible for optimizing stock parameters, ensuring master data accuracy, mitigating inventory risks, and driving data-based decision-making to secure material availability while minimizing operational costs.

PURPOSE:
This role requires a highly experienced Senior Material Planning & Disposition professional with extensive expertise in production logistics and supply chain management. The position is responsible for optimizing stock parameters, ensuring master data accuracy, mitigating inventory risks, and driving data-based decision-making to secure material availability while minimizing operational costs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up, control, and maintain stock parameters (e.g., DV, PV, ZV, safety stock, fixed stock levels) within the ERP system
- Analyze and propose stock policy strategies to mitigate operational risks and inventory costs
- Maintain and optimize master data to ensure data accuracy and process stability
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve reports and dashboards to enable efficient material steering
- Collaborate with IT to create data reports, correct system flaws, and implement process improvements
- Perform root cause analysis of call-off variations and demand fluctuations
- Identify and analyze critical parts within the supply chain to support weekly planning discussions
- Define, implement, and monitor End-of-Production (EOP) strategies to reduce excess inventory and financial exposure
- Lead and execute end-of-year system-related activities
- Develop and manage year-end volume and stock strategies
- Analyze and present business case scenarios (e.g., localization initiatives, ocean freight tender impacts, demurrage & detention simulations)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within production logistics
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
- BS/BA in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Additional certifications in process optimization, Lean, or project management advantageous
- 7–10 years of professional experience in material planning, supply chain management, or production logistics
- Strong knowledge of stock parameter management and inventory control strategies
- Proven experience in ERP-based material planning systems
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Experience in supply chain risk analysis and cost optimization
- Strong understanding of production logistics processes
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and structured working methodology
- Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, production, and supply chain teams
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with advanced production logistics applications (e.g., VANIS, digital shop floor systems)
- Experience in automotive or manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of end-of-production (EOP) management strategies
- Experience in logistics cost simulations (e.g., demurrage, detention, freight tenders)
- Project management experience
- Lean or continuous improvement background
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
