We are currently seeking a Data Analyst for a client in the automotive industry, specializing car manufacturing of vans. This is a contractor role based in Charleston, SC that requires onsite presence. PURPOSE: 
We are seeking a Data Analyst to drive transparency and support strategic decision-making related to production bottlenecks. The ideal candidate has experience with manufacturing KPIs, data modeling, and visualization tools, and can translate complex datasets into actionable insights for engineering and operations teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze production and maintenance data to identify patterns and bottlenecks.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to improve process transparency.
  • Support cross-functional teams with data-driven insights.
  • Translate operational issues into data queries and present findings.
  • Recommend measures to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders and management teams

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree in Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or similar field.
  • Strong experience with Excel, Power BI, SQL, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of manufacturing KPIs (OEE, MTTR, cycle time, etc.).
  • Background in the automotive industry or similar production-driven environments.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Experience in Bodyshop data or familiarity with Bodyshop performance metrics.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
